Ilgın Spas and Apart Hotels

Ilgın Thermal Spring is located on the Konya - Akşehir road, about two kilometers west of Ilgın district of Konya.

Ilgın, known as "Tyriacum" in Roman times, was among the country's famous thermal springs during the reign of Justinian I. It is known that Ilgın is an ancient Tiberiopolis, there is a lake with plenty of fish nearby, and the healing effects of hot water sources are seen.

In this period, the Hot Spring had an architectural structure with covered baths and resting places, surrounded by marble, like the Roman period hot water baths, similar to which we can see in other parts of our country. The architectural pieces we see in the immediate vicinity of the Kaplıca today bear the traces of that era.

It was repaired again by Hacı Numan Efendi. It has been repaired many times until today.

Water Temperature is 42 °C, pH value is 7.15 and water contains potassium, sodium, ammonium, calcium, magnesium, iron, aluminum, chloride, nitrate, sulfate and hydrocarbonate. Total mineralization is 943.13 mg/l. It is suitable to be used for rehabilitation purposes in chronic treatments of orthopedic and neurological diseases and rheumatic diseases. The treatment features determined by the Ministry of Health are also given on the basis of the facility. Among the Anatolian Baths, Ilgın Hot Spring has great importance in terms of history, architecture and medical history, as well as public health.
