Imera Monastery

İmera village  is approximately 36 km away from the city center. It is written from the sources that the building was built in 1740, it was surrounded by high walls, and the residences were built in 1827.  the monastery was renovated in 1859 by the High Priestess Roxane. The building was built with cut stone + rubble stone and masonry. The three protruding apses on the east façade are narrower and lower than the main structure. The cradle roof was built in steps and the middle part of the naos was covered with a polygonal high rimmed dome. Roof cover is soil and stone. The walls are made of stone, the façade ends, the eaves, the door and window jambs and the arches in the interior are of smooth stone.
