İskender Pasha Mosque
The construction epitaph of Iskender Pasha Mosque dated 1529 is on the entrance door on the front. In addition, there is an inscription belonging to the restoration of the building in 1882, when it reached its present state. The madrasah in its courtyard was demolished and the cemetery on the west side was removed. Only the tomb of Iskender Pasha was left here. Additions were made to the mosque at different times and its originality was damaged by repairs. It has a very good stone work. The minaret was built in alternating style with bricks and colored stones. The main plan of the building is similar to the Green Mosque in Iznik. The mihrab and the mimber are made of marble. It has 19th century Baroque decorations. There are large leaves, folded branched borders and cartridges on them. There are also hand-drawn ornaments inside the mosque.
