İskilip Yivlik Akşemseddin Hz. Mosque and Tomb
Akşemseddin Mosque is located in Evlik Village, 35 km north of Iskilip. The Hodja of Fatih Sultan Mehmet Khan, who lived in Evlik between 1440 and 1452, built the nailless mosque while he was in the position of "guidance". There is an inscription written by Hadım Sinan Pasha, the vizier of Yavuz Sultan Selim Han, on its door, which was made entirely of interlocking planks and boards and without using nails by His Holiness Akşemseddin. On the qibla side, there is a 4 square meter room used by His Holiness Aksemseddin as Çilehane. On the lower side of the road on the south side of the mosque, there is a fountain where the water is said to have been found by digging with the staff of Nurul Hüda, the son of His Holiness Akşemseddin. There is a mausoleum in a walled garden about a hundred meters from the mosque. Nails are not used here either. There are sarcophagi of some of Akşemseddin's grandchildren and followers inside the tomb. The Mosque, where Nurul Hüda's Tomb is located, hosts hundreds of visitors every year.
