Kadi Mosque
The mosque, which is located on 6 sections, 86 blocks, and 1 parcel in Bolu Merkez Büyükcami Neighborhood, was built in the XVI century according to its architectural character. It was built in the century. It is dated to the century. According to the Bolu Livası Yearbook, the work was built by Demirtaş Paşazade Mehmet Bey. The building, which was used as a library for a while, was named Kadı Mosque due to the presence of a kadı next to it. The mihrab section of the rectangular planned mosque protrudes outward as five sided. The ceiling of the mosque, which was built of cut stone, is plain wood. It is understood from the remaining traces that the first form of the mosque consisted of a main space covered with a dome and a narthex with three sections. Its windows are rectangular in plan, with stone jambs and iron bars. The mosque has a pointed arched portal in the shape of an iwan and a mihrabiye on both sides. The wooden wings of the low-arched entrance door are one of the fine examples of Ottoman kundekari craftsmanship. Its muqarnas mihrab and pulpit are made of stone. It has a 16-sided minaret in its northwest corner. It was repaired after the 1999 earthquake and its minaret was renewed.
