Kadı Turkish Bath (Diyarbakır)
Kadı Bath is a historical bath located in Sur district of Diyarbakır. It is also known as İpariyye Bath and Eşbek Bath.
The construction of Kadı Mosque, which belongs to the foundation where the bath is located, in 1543-44 suggests that the bath was built in the same period. The bath, which has survived with all its spaces, is not used for any function. With the restoration carried out between 2009 and 2010, the dome of the bath was renewed, the wall surfaces were scraped, joint fillings were made, the floor was covered with smooth basalt stone, and the original benches and basins were removed.
The courtyard is reached through a low-arched door located in the south of the bath, and from the courtyard to the coldness. There is a circular pool in the middle of the coldness, which has a nearly square plan. The coldness dome is placed on an octagonal pulley, which is crossed with a pendentive. Unlike other baths in Diyarbakir, there is a masonry lantern in the bath. In the north of the coldness, there is a warm room consisting of two parts, and both warms are expanded with niches in the north and west directions. The hot room is entered through a low-arched door in the south direction of the second warm room.
