An architectural masterpiece of the Art Nouveau style, the Kamondo Stairs were built by a banking family of Sephardic Jews who were influential in the late 19th century. According to popular belief, the family built the Kamondo Stairs so that their grandchildren could take a shortcut to school. If you are interested in photography, you should definitely see the Kamondo Stairs, one of the most photographed places in Istanbul.
