Kanuni Sultan Süleyman Culture House
Kanuni Evi, located in the historical Ortahisar District of Trabzon, is known as the house where Suleiman the Magnificent, known as the sultan of the most brilliant period of the Ottoman Empire, grew up until the age of 15. Today, Trabzon Governorship serves as a museum as the Ottoman House of Suleiman the Magnificent, and it contains wax statues of Ottoman sultans Fatih Sultan Mehmet, Yavuz Sultan Selim and Kanuni Sultan Süleyman, as well as paintings about Ottoman history, books about Trabzon and Ottoman history.
