Kapı Ağa Madrasa

The Kapı Ağası Madrasa, also known as Büyük Ağa Madrasa, was built in 1488 by Hüseyin Ağa, the Gate Ağa of Sultan Bayezid II. Its plan differs from the classical Ottoman madrasah form. The octagonal plan scheme, especially seen in Seljuk tomb monuments, was applied for the first time in this madrasah.
