Kara Ahmed Bey Tomb

The tomb of Kara Ahmed Bey, the grandfather of the famous traveler, scientist, writer and folklorist Evliya Çelebi from Kütahya, is in the Saray neighbourhood , formerly Zeryen. The tomb was built in 1995 in the style of Ottoman architecture. Evliya Çelebi, while describing his hometown of Kütahya, which he visited in 1678 in his Travel Book, stated that the grave of his grandfather, Kara Ahmed Bey, is next to their house in the Zeryen District.
