Kastamonu Castle
As one of the main symbols of Kastamonu, the castle stands like the crown of the city from the highest point of the city. Located on a bedrock mass to the west of the city, the castle was built by the Komnenos in the 12th century AD. Today, only the inner castle part has survived from the original structure.
