Kayseri Mimar Sinan House
The stone house in the Ağırnas District of Kayseri, where Mimar Sinan was born in 1490, who served as the "Chief Architect" during the reigns of Suleiman the Magnificent, Selim II and Murad III, attracts the attention of visitors with its architectural structure. Having lived until the age of 22 in the house that fascinates him with its arches, underground rooms, wheat storage warehouse, galleries connecting to the underground city and the lighting system in the kitchen, Sinan later went to Istanbul as a devshirme. The house where Mimar Sinan was born, who designed, built and repaired hundreds of large and small buildings during the Ottoman period, was turned into a museum in 2004. Thousands of people have visited the house so far.
