Kemere Bridge

Kemere Bridge is a bridge located in Amasra, Turkey. It connects the two parts of Amasra Castle on the peninsula and Boztepe Island.

The bridge, which was built during the Roman period, saw renovations in the 8th and 9th centuries, during the Byzantine period. Restoration work on the bridge, which started in 2013, was completed in September 2014. Within the scope of this restoration, all the stones of the bridge were removed and new cut stones were used during its reconstruction. A metal pipe was added on the parapet of the bridge, where the infrastructure needs were collected, and structures made of reinforced concrete and steel were added instead of the wooden sheds on the island side.

The Kemere Bridge, which is a single arched stone bridge, is 5.89 m wide and 26.69 m long.
