Kırk Martyrs Memorial
The monument, which was built in 1960, is located on Kırklar Hill and is also called the Forty Martyrs Monument. The purpose of the monument dates back to 1363. This monument was built in the name of 40 raiders who fought to take the city from the Byzantines at that time. The tomb, which is positioned on 40 marble columns, has a very modern appearance and was designed in a square plan. Next to the monument, a mosque and a school were built with the same name.
