Knidos Ancient City
The history of the ancient city of Knidos dates back to 2000 BC. The ancient city, which was one of the most important trade and living points of the region during its lifetime, contains many historical structures from the Aphrodite Statue, which is known as the "most beautiful woman statue in the world", to the parliament building. The region has managed to become one of the most important stops of the Aegean, especially in wine trade. Today, unfortunately, many artifacts in the region have been looted and stolen, making it very difficult to unearth the ancient city.
