Kocatepe Memorial
The Kocatepe Monument and Inscription within the borders of Büyük Kalecik Town is located at an altitude of 1874 meters. Built in 1953, the monument was erected to commemorate the Great Offensive. The construction of the monument was carried out by the Ministry of National Defense and cut stones were used in its construction. The bronze Atatürk Monument, where the monument is located, was added in 1993 by the Ministry of Culture. The monument weighs 4 tons in total and is 7.5 meters high.
