Konuralp Roman (Marble) Bridge

Today, only three 10-meter arches of the marble bridge can be seen on the Akçakoca road on the Taba Stream that passes through the west of Konuralp and flows into Efteni Lake. The bridge is 5 meters wide and 30 meters long. The bridge, which was made of white marble blocks and without using any mortar, was built by M.S. 1st century considered to belong. The spolia materials used in the construction of the bridge indicate different repair phases that cannot be dated. It is known that the historical marble bridge behind the new bridge, which is in use today at the Akçakoca Road, Konuralp exit, was used 50 years ago, until the new bridge, which is still in operation, was built. However, there is no certain information about when and how half of it was destroyed.
