Köprülü Mehmet Pasha Mosque
The mosque, which was built by Köprülü Mehmet Pasha in 1665, is in the Vezirhan town on the Bilecik-Sakarya highway, close to the Köprülü Mehmet Pasha Caravanserai. It has a rectangular plan and its walls are made of cut stone. Köprülü Mehmet Pasha built this mosque in Bilecik, Vezirhan, in 1665. No document has been found to confirm this claim for the mosque, which is claimed to be the work of Mimar Sinan. The mosque has a rectangular plan and was made of cut stone measuring 17.30 x 18.60 meters. It is covered with a hipped roof. There is a five-section narthex with six columns connected to each other by round arches on the northern edge. The last congregation place and the place of worship are covered with a hipped roof. The place of worship was covered with a wooden ceiling built in later periods. The place of worship is illuminated by round arched windows in two rows on the side walls and in two rows on the mihrab wall. Although its mihrab is simple, its pulpit decorated with rosettes and stalactites has a beautiful appearance in terms of art history. Its minaret, made of cut stone in the northwest corner, was renovated in 1965.
