Korgan Bridge

Known as Melik among the people and referred to as Korgan in historical sources, the bridge has had an important place throughout history as it is located on the Silk Road.

Although the exact date of construction of the Korgan Bridge, located in Bayburt- Akşar town, is not known, it is estimated that it was built during the Seljuk period in the 13th or 14th century. The bridge length is 43.20 meters and its width is 4 meters. During its construction, rubble stone and finely hewn yellow stone were used.
