Koyunoğlu Museum

Ahmet Rasih İzzet Koyunoğlu is one of the important names of Konya, who achieved important successes both in the liberation struggle and afterwards at the state levels. He was born in 1900 and has accumulated valuable cultural and ethnographic objects since 1913.

After his retirement, he donated his collection to Konya Municipality in 1973. The foundations of the museum building were laid in 1977 and the works started to be exhibited in the museum, which was opened under his own name in 1984, after the classification of the works he donated. Konya House, library, Anatolian Civilizations, Ethnography Department, Calligraphy Department, archive and Natural History Department are located in the museum, which has a beautiful courtyard.
