Kütahya Castle

Kütahya Castle, one of the greatest witnesses of the past, present and future, which has been inhabited since ancient times, was strengthened with the walls built by the Byzantines in the 5th century and the repairs and additions made by the Seljuks, Germiyanoğulları and Ottomans. It consists of three parts as upper, inner and lower castle. According to Evliya Çelebi, Kütahya Castle has 72 bastions and is the third largest castle in Turkey with this feature.
