Kütahya City History Museum
Şapçızade and Karaca Mansions, located on Germiyan Street, which is understood to have been built in 1912 from its inscription, were restored by the Kütahya Municipality and opened as the Urban History Museum with the permission of a private museum obtained from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. in his garden; The production stages of the traditional ancestral art of our Kütahya, which is the center of tile art in the world, takes place.
On the ground floor of the City History Museum, there are information, documents and photographs belonging to the Hittite, Phrygian, Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk, Germian, Ottoman and Turkish Republics, starting from the prehistoric period. On the first floor, professional groups such as blacksmith, coppersmith, tinsmith, felt maker, basket maker, carpenter, cutlery, saddlebag, farrier, saddler, shoemaker, which are among the professions that are about to disappear in Kütahya, are animated in sections with mannequins and photographs, and there are shops for their original tools. takes. On the second floor, the domestic life in Kütahya and the interiors of the rooms in the mansion are animated, daily life such as bride, wedding, henna, salute, clothes, bedroom, kitchen and carpet weaving.
