Lala Mustafa Pasha Mosque
Lala Mustafa Pasha Mosque is an old Catholic temple, originally called St. Nicholas Cathedral. It is one of the two largest mosques of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. It was opened as a cathedral in 1328 and was converted into a mosque by the Ottoman Empire in 1571 to meet the needs of the region. It was named after Lala Mustafa Pasha, who was known as the Conqueror of Cyprus.
