Laleli Mosque

Laleli Mosque is a mosque located in the northern part of Nicosia, in the Abdi Çavuş neighborhood. It is located on Ali Ruhi Street. The name "Laleli Mosque" is thought to derive from the tulip motifs that adorned its original minaret. Originally a small medieval church, the building was enlarged and converted into a mosque in the 19th century.
