Lozan Memorial and Square

The monument consists of three concrete columns erected independently of each other on three concrete consoles rising at an angle of 45 degrees from the ground. The tallest column with a height of 36.45 meters symbolizes Anatolia, the column with a height of 31.95 meters represents Thrace, and the third column with a height of 17.45 meters, located between the other two columns, symbolizes Karaağaç. It is connected by a concrete circle at a height of 20 meters, symbolizing unity and togetherness. The figure of a young girl with a height of 4.20 meters placed on the circle has a dove symbolizing peace and democracy in one hand, and documents symbolizing the Treaty of Lausanne in the other.[2] The semi-circular pool with a diameter of 15 meters around the feet of the monument represents the seas surrounding Turkey on three sides. At the entrance of the park area where the monument is located, there is a bust of İsmet İnönü, who was the head of the Turkish delegation at the Lausanne Peace Conference.
