Makam (Zulkifi) Mountain Trekking
Located in Diyarbakır's Ergani district, Makam Mountain hosts visitors from Diyarbakır and surrounding cities. Hz. Since it is the seat of Zülküf, the surrounding of the district can be seen completely from the mountain called 'Makam Mountain'.
Makam Mountain, where the Prophet Zülküf stayed for many years, is 5 km away from the Ergani district of Diyarbakır. Makam Mountain is at a height of 1,515 meters. The entire Ergani district is visible from the top of the mountain.
In the Diyarbakir yearbooks, there is information that the office of Nebî Zülküf was located in Ergani and that this office was repaired and furnished in a magnificent way. Although there is no exact information about when and by whom the Zülküf Nebi Zaviyesi located on Makam Mountain was built, the fact that there is a foundation record in the Tahrir Registers dated 924/1518 indicates earlier than the Ottoman period. In it, Hz. This structure, which has the Zülküf authority and is called a tomb, was restored in 2008 by the General Directorate of Foundations. There is also a small mosque on the Makam Mountain where 20-30 people can pray.
