Mansur Baba Tomb

This zawiyah in Harput, formerly known as Cami-i Kebir District, is known today as the “Mansur Baba Tomb” among the people. It has a foundation charter belonging to the 16th century and its annual income was 8980 coins in these dates. According to the rumor, a large sarcophagus was uncovered during the excavation carried out in the presence of Beyzade Efendi, one of Harput's spiritual elders, upon the dream of a woman named Şahende, and it was seen that there were graves of a man, a woman and two children. When the grave of the man was opened, an undecayed corpse was encountered and the situation was reported to Meşihat  by telegram, and upon the reply received, a tomb was built and the tomb was named Mansur Baba "in reference to the tombstone". According to some sources, it is stated that the tombs in the tomb may belong to the Artuqid Dynasty. The tomb of Mansur Baba, which was restored and opened to visitors, has an octagonal plan and the interior preserves its original shape. The top cover system was made later. It is a two-storey monumental building.
