Melikgazi Cupola
Located in the city center of Kırşehir, the cupola was built between 1240 and 1250 by his wife on behalf of Melik Muzaffereddin Behram Shah, one of the Sons of Mengücü. The cupola has an octagonal body on a square base with bevelled corners. Triangular chamfers were used in the transition to a cylindrical conical cone. With these bevels, the cupola was given the appearance of a tent, and it is one of the examples that strengthens the argument that Turkish tomb architecture was influenced by the Central Asian tent art, and that the origin of the cupolas is the Central Asian Art.
