Mem u Zin Tomb

Abdaliye Madrasah is built on the Cizre Wall, which connects the Cizre Dağkapı Neighborhood to the cemetery. The Mem-u Zin Tomb is in the basement under the administration rooms of this madrasah. There are three graves inside. The graves belong to Zin, Bekir and Mem. On one of the gravestones is the inscription "May Allah have mercy on him and all Muslims upon his death in 854". Mem-u Zin is a story with divine love in it. This love affair took place in the year 854 AH (1450-1451) during the reign of Cizre Bey Emir Zeynuddin.
