Merzifonlu Kara Mustafa Pasha Mosque
The mosque was built by Kara Mustafa Pasha in 1666. The outer walls of the rectangular planned mosque were entirely built of smooth cut stone. There is a narthex with three chambers, the ceiling of which is covered with wood, formed by four columns connected by pointed arches. The place of worship is covered with a large dome. The corner spaces of the octagonal drum of the dome, the interior of which is decorated with hand-drawn works that show the characteristics of the 19th century, are supported by octagonal weight towers and an aesthetic integrity is provided.
