Miletus Ruins
Milet Antique City is located in Didim district of Aydın. The ancient city, which stands out in the fields of science, art and philosophy, declared its autonomy throughout its existence.
Although it is located in the region of ancient cities such as Ephesus and Priene, it has become an important trade center. Many of the magnificent structures within the borders of the ancient city have been demolished.
Historical artifacts unearthed within the borders of the ancient city are exhibited in the Miletus Museum. The 15,000-seat theater of the ancient city, the South Agora and the Faustina Bath, and the Delphinion, built in the 1st century AD, are must-see places.
