MTA Şehit Cuma Dağ Natural History Museum
It is Turkey's first and largest natural history museum. It was established on February 7, 1968 within the body of the General Directorate of Mineral Research and Exploration for the purpose of exhibiting and storing the samples collected during the field studies of the institution. The museum continues to serve in its new building built in the campus. A large number of fossils, rocks, minerals and mineral samples describing the natural history, compiled from various parts of Turkey and the world, are exhibited in the museum. On the ground floor of the museum, which consists of three floors, there is the opportunity to travel into space, get to know the planets in the solar system closely, and examine the moonstone, lightning stone and meteorites, which are the postmen of space.
