Nicosia Mevlevi Lodge

The Nicosia Mevlevi Lodge or Mevlevihane is the Mevlevi Lodge founded in 1593 in Northern Nicosia, the capital of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, by Arap Ahmet Pasha, one of the conquerors of Cyprus. Semahane and mausoleum part survived until today and is used as a Mevlevi-Tekke Culture museum. Mevlevihane near Girne Gate is one of the most important structures of Cyprus during the Ottoman period.
