Nif Fortress

Few walls remain of this work, which was built on a hill at the foot of Nif Mountain, south of Kemalpaşa. This place, which the people call the "Hamalı Castle". According to Evliya Çelebi's account, it is said that this castle, which was used as a summer resort with 4,000 tiles, was built for the protection of the people of the town. Based on the ruins of the castle, it is thought to belong to the Roman period.
