Niğde Castle
Niğde Castle is a historical castle located within the borders of the hill where the Old Niğde City of Niğde Province is located. Although the first construction date is not certain, the traces on the foundation stones date back to BC. It is thought to have been built on historical foundations dating back to the 8th century. Niğde Castle, which is surrounded by three walls, is thought to surround the hill where the Old Niğde city is located. The castle consists of an outer castle and an inner castle surrounded by a thick wall. The historical castle has been destroyed and destroyed in many places over different times. The castle, which was repaired and restored in 1740, increased its importance until the time of Kılıçarslan II, Rüknettin Süleyman Şah II and Alaeddin Keykubat I Anatolian Seljuks and was used as a prison in the Republican period.
