Olba Ancient City
The settlement of today's Uzuncaburç, which was the place of worship of the Territorium of Olba, whose center is 4 kilometers east of Uzuncaburç in the Hellenistic Period, was separated from Olba in the Roman Period, during the reign of Emperor Vespesianus in 72, and was autonomous under the name of Diokaesareia (City of the God-Emperor). has become a dominant city. After the Byzantine Period, the Turks named it "Uzuncaburç", giving the name of the high tower (Hellenistic Tower), which is the symbol of the city.
