Paşaoğlu Konağı Etnografya Museum
Located at the intersection of Taşocak Street and Erkoçak Street in Selimiye District of Ordu city center, Paşaoğlu Mansion was built in 1896 by Paşaoğlu Hüseyin Efendi. The stones of the mansion, which was built on an area of 625 square meters with its garden, were brought from Ünye, the wood material was brought from Romania, and its construction was carried out by a master from Istanbul. Paşaoğlu Mansion, one of the most beautiful examples of our 19th century civil architecture, has three floors, including the ground floor. The entrance to the ground floor is through the doors on the east and the first floor through the doors on the north and west.
After the Paşaoğlu Mansion was expropriated in 1982 by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, General Directorate of Monuments and Museums, its restoration began in 1983. The ground floor of the building is used as the administration, and the first floor is arranged as the ethnographic works section. In this section, weapons, jewelry, women's and men's clothing, etc. items are on display. The second floor, on the other hand, reflects the characteristics of the local 19th century mansion with arrangements such as the sofa, the pasha grandmother's room, the daily room, the guest room, the bedroom and the closet.
