Perge Ancient City
The Ancient City of Perge is located in Aksu district, 17 kilometers east of Antalya city centre. The city, known as "Parha" and believed to have survived during the Hittite Period, became one of the most organized cities of Anatolia during the Roman Period. The sculptures unearthed in the excavations in the ancient city, which is famous for its architecture and marble sculpture, have made the Antalya Museum one of the most important sculpture museums.
