Ramazan Tabya
Ramazan Bastion is one of the most important historical places of Ardahan. The bastion, which was repaired and used in the Seljuk and Ottoman periods, whose history dates back to the Urartians, was used for defense purposes by the Turkish soldiers, especially during the occupation of the Russians. Unlike its counterparts, the bastion was built entirely in the shape of a dome and with stone binding. Khorasan mortar brick and masonry stone were used in the construction of the bastion. The Ramadan Bastion covers a very large area with an area of approximately 3 thousand square meters.
