Roma Pool

Located 24 km from Niğde, 8 km from Bor district and 3 km from Bahçeli town, the Roman Pool is also known as the pool where Cleopatra took a milk bath. One of the best works and craftsmanship of the Roman Period, the Roman Pool was built in the 2nd and 3rd centuries AD during the Trojan and Hadrian Periods. Consisting of a rectangular plan, the pool was made of smooth cut stones and marble. Let's immediately add that the boiling water of the pool reaches Kemerhisar City through arches. The pool, which remained under the ground after the Roman Period, was discovered as a result of excavations carried out in 1960. In the following years, restoration work was carried out and it took its present form. Located among lush trees, the Roman Pool is frequently preferred by the local people to relax and have a picnic. You can also benefit from the restaurants and cafes located by the pool.
