Rüstem Pasha Caravanserai (Taşhan)

Rüstem Pasha Caravanserai, which was built in 1561 by the grand vizier of Suleiman the Magnificent, Rüstem Pasha, is also called "Historical Tashan" or "Rüstem Pasha Bedesten". The building, which was repaired in 1965, is a good example of Ottoman architecture. The caravanserai, which is a two-storey building, directs the trade in the city today as it did in the past. Do not forget that if you want to shop in Erzurum, you should definitely stop by Taşhan Bazaar, even though it is no longer an inn like it used to be. You should definitely see the nostalgic structure of the bazaar and buy the local products of Erzurum for yourself and your loved ones. You can find rosaries, rings, jewelry and various products made of Oltu stone in the bazaar.
