Sabanci Central Mosque
Located in Adana's Reşatbey District, south of Merkez Park, on the west bank of the Seyhan River, the mosque was put into service in 1998. It has a main dome with a diameter of 32 meters. The project architect of the mosque is Necip Dinç. The mosque, with a capacity of 20,000 (28 thousand people with an open space arrangement), is spread over an area of 6,600 square meters, including the narthex.
It was built in the style of classical Ottoman architecture and sits on nine elephant feet. It resembles the Blue Mosque in general appearance, and the Selimiye Mosque in plan and interior. It has four half-domes, five domes and six minarets; they correspond to the four caliphs and the four madhhabs, the five pillars of Islam and the six pillars of faith. The main dome, 32 meters in diameter, is 32 hypothetical, 28 domes in the courtyard are dedicated to 28 prophets mentioned in the Qur'an, and 40 windows in the main dome are dedicated to Hz. 6 minarets of 99 meters are the 99th year of Allah. corresponds to its beautiful name.
