Saburhane Mosque
Saburhane Square is a settlement located on the eastern side of the city in Menteşe. Although it is not an official neighborhood, it is an exemplary Urban Site with its nearly 400 registered houses, nearly 170 civil architectural examples, nearly 100 streets, old inns, fountains, arastas, squares and mosques. The square takes its name from the prison that was once located here. Some houses are reached by passing through the courtyard gates in dead-end streets. Saburhane Square, with its different and beautiful architecture, is a settlement where Turkish-Greek peoples live and beautify. The houses are located on the hillside and no house blocks the view of the other house. Houses with white walls and tiled roofs, streets and even doors have been taken under protection. Open or closed front sofas, wooden decorated verandas, and cabinet-shaped bathrooms embedded in the wall are the distinctive features of Menteşe houses.
