Saint George Church

Saint George Church is located in the northeast corner of İçkale. The building date is not knowing certainly. However, due to the construction style and the materials used in the building, it is thought to belong to the 2nd century AD. It was used as the bath of the palace during the Artukid Period. In some sources, it is written that the Artuqid rulers used robots manufactured by the scholar Eb-ül İz El Cezeri from Cizre in this bath and palace. Today it is used as an art gallery.
