Salihpaşa Mosque
Located in the city center of Sorgun, by the Sorgun Stream, the mosque was built in 1813 by Salih Pasha. The mosque was completely renovated in 1955 in accordance with its original form, except for the western wall. Today's mosque was built of cut stone with a square plan, a dome and two minarets. The walls of the mosque, which has a square plan, are illuminated by upper and lower windows. The central dome is placed on large round arches in reinforced concrete with the help of pendentives. Since the mosque was renovated during the last repair, there are no remarkable decorations inside, including the mihrab and pulpit.
