Santa Maria Catholic Church
Santa Maria Catholic Church is a church located in Trabzon. The complex, consisting of a church, guest house and two auxiliary buildings, was built by Sultan Abdülmecid between 1869 and 1874 for tourists coming to Trabzon. The three-nave basilica is covered with a barrel vault and covered with tiles. There are many icons and frescoes inside the church. The building still serves as a church today.
