Sargıyeri and Hospital Martyrdom
The martyrdom, which is 800 m to the west of the village of Alçıtepe, is located in the Zığındere Valley, on the right side of the road leading to the Nuri Yamut Monument. On the other side, Atatürk's war period; I am not ordering you to attack, I am ordering you to die. During the time that will pass until we die, other forces and commanders may take our place. In the inscription, Orhan Şaik Gökyay's poem Bu Vatan; This homeland belongs to those who stand like mountains in the middle of the land / Throughout a history, for its sake / It belongs to those who gave themselves to history / As if they were shot in the chest / Just as if they were shot in the chest / As if entering a rose garden / These are the lines of those who enter the black soil. On the other two faces, Mehmet Akif Ersoy' Un; Shot from his clean forehead, he is lying down / On a crescent moon, O Lord, what suns are setting! and O fallen soldier for this land! / There are verses of ancestral value descending from the sky, kissing the forehead. Our martyrs are commemorated with 385 tombstones in the martyrdom, which was built in 1945 in memory of the soldiers who were martyred in the 28 June-5 July Battles and in the Continental Winding Place. After the regulation made by the Ministry of Culture in 1992, the last regulation was made in 2013. The area, which was used as Zığındere Sargıyeri during the battles, was under heavy bombardment on 28 June 1915, although it was marked as a field hospital. For this reason, the casualties of our soldiers in the region were heavy. The martyrdom, which is one of the real shrines, is also marked on sheet 36 of the 1916 Şevki Pasha Map.
