Selge Ancient City

Selge is one of the mountain cities of the ancient Pisidia region. It was established on the southern slopes of the Taurus Mountains, at an altitude of 1250 meters from the sea. Turning 5 km after the Aspendos junction on the Antalya-Alanya highway, the road turns first from Beşkonak and then through the canyon valley joined by the Ancient Roman bridge to reach Altınkaya village. On the southern hill, the towered fortifications protecting the city are partially visible. The main entrance gate of the city is also located in this section. On the hill to the north of the walls are the remains of two temples, one dedicated to Zeus and the other to Artemis. Market place (agora), monumental fountain building, burial area (necropolis) and Byzantine church are the other remains in Selge.
