Serçoban Tomb
Serçoban is the brother of İğneci Baba, whose tomb is located in Kocacık Bazaar in the center of Amasya. İğneci Baba repairs shoes and his brother Serçoban works as a shepherd.
One day, while shepherding his flocks on the mountain, Serçoban wants to catch the runaway goat, Serçoban chases, the goat escapes, and Serçoban, who is exhausted, says "I will slaughter you when I catch you". Finally, when he was about to slaughter the goat to fulfill his promise, the Serçoban, who encountered its sad and impressive looks, was touched and said, "You have tired me too, blessed" and released the goat he had caught.
When the Serçoban dies, each of the animals in the herd turns into a tree and a forest is formed. The place where the grave is located is visited as a place of sacrifice and recreation under its own name. Local people believe that cutting down the trees there will bring them evil.
