Şeyh Edebali Tomb

Sheikh Edebali Tomb is the tomb where the funeral of Sheikh Edebali, the spiritual founder of the Ottoman State, is located. The tomb was built by Orhan Gazi on a small hill on the ridge of the valley where the Old Bilecik city was founded. A tile roof was covered over the tomb, which used to be domed but was destroyed by the attacks of the Greeks. In the tomb, which consisted of a hall and two separate rooms, the large room was used as a mosque with a mihrab, and the room on the other side was used as a chat room and guesthouse. In the section where Sheikh Edebali and his relatives are located, the domed ceiling is rectangular and there are seven large and four small sarcophagi.
